Commonly used plastic process characteristics (45 kinds)(二)
PFA (copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene)
1. It is a kind of fluorin resin for thermal plasticity.
2. Good electrical properties: excellent insulating material, with very low dielectric constant and very low dielectric dissipation factor.
3. Heat resistance: wide range of temperature (-200℃ to +280℃).
4. Flame resistance: Oxygen Index is 95%, which is a stable substance with flame resistance and can be used for different purposes.
5. Excellent chemical resistance: almost no reaction to all chemicals.
6. High mechanical strength.
7. Low surface energy: low friction, low non-viscosity, and water and oil on the surface of high water and oil, can increase the reliability of raw materials.
8. Excellent weather resistance: direct exposure to sunlight, rain or waste gas without loss or deformation, long exposure to outdoor characteristics and no change.
9. Good drug resistance, low friction coefficient, non-adhesion.
10. Poor formability, large shrinkage and high price.
PI (polyimide)
1. Highest heat resistance.
2. Excellent wear resistance, creep resistance and radioactive resistance.
3. Excellent drug resistance, not strong acid resistance.
4. It is difficult to shoot out and take out.
5. The elastic coefficient changes little at 240℃.
Good drug resistance (except concentrated nitric acid).
7. Poor formability and moisture absorption.
8. High crystallization temperature.
9. The size change is very small, and the thermal expansion in the X and Y directions is very small, which can avoid the poor adhesion of the copper foil caused by the heat of the fine line. The thermal expansion in the Z direction is small, and the thermal fracture of the copper layer in the hole wall of the high-rise multi-layer board can be avoided.
PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate (acrylic))
1. Strong toughness, colorless and transparent.
2. Good optical, insulation, processing and weather resistance.
POM (polyformaldehyde)
1. Commonly known as plastic steel, easy to heat decomposition, good drug resistance and Creep resistance.
2. Excellent wear resistance, lubrication, toughness, durability, heat resistance, good drug resistance.
3. Good mechanical properties and impact resistance.
4. No self-extinguishing, poor acid resistance, forming shrinkage rate.
5 similar to nylon, wear resistance similar to PC.
6. High mechanical properties, excellent elastic recovery, poor thermal stability, high specific gravity (1.41).
PP (polypropylene)
1. Poor fluidity, poor filling, flow mark formation, insufficient pressure, easy to sag, need high pressure forming.
2. For optical purposes, transparency is a problem. When heterogeneous materials are mixed, attention should be paid to decomposition.
3. Excellent formability, high mechanical strength than PE.
4. Good water resistance, drug resistance and electrical insulation.
5. Prone to deformation, warping and subsidence.
6. Adhesive, the lightest plastic.
7. Low specific gravity (about 0.90), FDA grade, good transparency, no moisture absorption, cheap, heat resistance and general mechanical strength are not very high, foaming rate is not high, poor printing.
PPO (polyoxydiphenyl)
1. Excellent electrical characteristics, heat resistance and water resistance and fire resistance.
2. Poor drug resistance and processing.
PPS (Polyphenylene sulfide)
1. Good heat resistance and fire resistance, high HDT, high mechanical strength at high temperature.
2. Fast crystallization speed, crystallinity up to 60~ 65%.
3. Good size stability, good electrical characteristics, low melt viscosity, good molding.
4. Good chemical resistance, excellent drug resistance (except concentrated nitric acid), similar to TEFLON, and at 200℃, no solvent can dissolve PPS.
5. Impact resistance, weather resistance, toughness and friction wear characteristics are poor.
6. There will be burrs, mechanical properties are affected by mold temperature.
PS (Polystyrene)
1. Belonging to ethylene, it is common material.
2. Good fluidity, good formability, good formability.
3. Easy to crack, impact resistance (GPPS).
4. Waste edge is easy to occur.
Colorless transparent, easy to dye, good insulation.
6. Good water resistance and drug resistance.
PSF (Wind Gathering)
1. High mechanical strength and stable electrical properties at -100℃~150℃.
2. Temperature resistance, UL746, HDT are above 150℃.
3. Good drug resistance, heat resistant water and steam is the most prominent, under temperature change, can maintain excellent electrical characteristics.
4. Resistance to deterioration of oxygen and ozone at high temperature.
5. Non-toxic, FDA and health specifications can meet, amber transparent.
6. Good acid and alkali resistance, good transparency when not filled.
7. Solvent resistance, release and poor fluidity.
PTFE (Polyteflon)
1. High and low temperature electrical insulation is good.
2. Extremely strong drug resistance.
3. Good heat resistance, wear resistance and stability.
PU or PUR (polyurethane)
1. Be resilient and strong.
2. Good abrasion resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance and aging resistance.
3. Slightly resistant to acid, alkali and hot water.
PVA (polyvinyl alcohol)
1. Colorless transparent elastomer.
2. Good heat resistance.
3. High insulation softening point.
(Polyvinyl acetate)
1. Colorless transparent.
2. Good continuity and light resistance.
3. Poor heat resistance.
4. Large water absorption, most solvents are soluble.
PVDC (polyethylene formaldehyde)
1. Greater drug resistance than PVC.
2. Good heat resistance.
3. The permeability of the film is small.
PVC (polyvinyl chloride [hard])
1. Poor thermal stability, forming temperature and decomposition temperature range is close.
2. Poor liquidity and poor appearance.
3. It will corrode the mold.
4. The most easy to burn, produce acid gas.
5. Good strength, electrical insulation and drug resistance.
6. It will soften with plasticizer.
7. Poor heat resistance.
8. High proportion (1.4), with fire resistance, good printing, different formulas have different characteristics, a wide range of applications, cheap, environmental impact, processing temperature more than 190℃ is prone to cracking, and release HCI corrosive gas.
SP or SI (silicone plastics [or silicone resins])
1. High and low temperature resistance, good insulation.
2. Unique surface physical properties, demoulding, defoaming, excellent wear resistance.
3. Sunlight resistance, chemical resistance, non-toxic.
TPE(TPR) (thermoplastic elastomer)
1. Soft, elastic and good touch.
2. Easy and fast processing, recyclable and reusable.
TPU/TPU resin
1. Excellent mechanical properties and good elasticity.
2. Good abrasion resistance and chemical resistance.
3. Good compatibility with blood and cell tissue.
4. Easy processing.
UF (Urine formaldehyde resin [electrojade])
1. Colorless and free coloring.
2. Similar to PF but slightly inferior, water resistance and weather resistance is not good.
UP (unsaturated polyester [cold gel])
Good insulation.
2. Glass fiber reinforced UP has high mechanical strength.
3. Heat resistance, drug resistance, low pressure forming, water resistance.
