4. Degradable tableware

This year's Beijing Winter Olympics will use the biodegradable tableware provided by Fengyuan Biotechnology and produced with polylactic acid as raw material. However, when people in the industry discuss biodegradable plastics, they often encounter huge disputes and some unsolvable problems. On the one hand, there is the issue of price. On the other hand, degradable plastics need to be carefully sorted and collected and degraded in a specific industrial composting environment. If you want to speed up the degradation, you need to add different additives.

5. rPET fiber work clothes

Domestic rPET-related enterprises include Guolong Plastics, Zhenjiang Sewell, Tianjin Evonik, and Huafei Polymer. At present, domestic regulations have not released rPRT for use in food contact materials, and the overall scale has limited impact on the market. Wang Ren, head of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's Recycled Plastics Project, believes that domestic consumers' concerns about recycled food packaging are different from those of European and American consumers. Even if rPET is allowed to be used in beverage bottles, consumers' attitudes are not the same. Later market trends will also have an impact.
